The  Multiplate ® analyser is used to determine the function of platelets in whole blood by impedance aggregometry. It can be used to detect platelet dysfunction and is a useful tool in the diagnosis and clinical management of patients with platelet function disorders. It can also be used to monitor patient’s response to antiplatelet drugs and assist with appropriate selection of antiplatelet therapies.

Availability:

All testing performed at Freeman Haematology laboratory and only available during routine hours, Monday to Friday.
Out of hours requests are not possible.

Turn Around:

Due to the labile nature of platelet function ‘in-vitro’ these assays are completed within 2 hrs, authorisation of results may take longer, due to results being reviewed before final authorisation.
