Looks at B-cell and T-cell clonality to help distinguish between reactive and neoplastic conditions. Analysis can be performed on tissue or liquid samples. B-cell clonality analysis targets immunoglobulin (Ig) genes (Ig heavy chain, IGH; Ig kappa light chain, IGK and T-cell clonality looks at the TCR gene. Would be requested by a consultant haematologist or histopathologist.
